About Me
Ahmet Duzduran
Data Scientist & ML Engineer
I am a data science enthusiast with expertise in Computer Vision (CV) & Natural Language Processing (NLP), including large language models (LLMs). I specialize in developing advanced models and innovative solutions for complex problems in the AI space.
Currently based in Istanbul as a digital nomad, I'm focused on independent projects that leverage machine learning to solve real-world challenges. My experience spans from adverse event detection in healthcare at Bayer to sentiment analysis and trend forecasting at Foreo.
Professional Focus
My work centers on developing machine learning solutions that deliver practical value. I have particular expertise in natural language processing, where I've built systems for text classification, sentiment analysis, and worked with large language models to enhance their capabilities.
In computer vision, I've developed models for semantic segmentation of medical images, with my thesis work focusing on brain tumor segmentation using deep learning approaches. I'm passionate about the intersection of AI and healthcare, where these technologies can make a meaningful impact.
Knowledge Sharing & Growth
I believe strongly in sharing knowledge and contributing to the data science community. I've led workshops on NLP with Transformers at Google Developers Club and regularly write articles on Medium that break down complex machine learning concepts for a broader audience.
When I'm not working on ML projects or writing code, I enjoy yoga, rowing, tennis, and basketball to maintain a healthy work-life balance. I'm continuously exploring emerging technologies in AI, particularly advancements in foundation models and their applications across different domains.
